Description du contenu de l'enseignement
This teaching unit belongs to the program of the Graduate School on Pain Euridol. It is mandatory for Euridol Students, but is also available as optional unit to other NCI, NCO and JMN students.
The program consists in an introduction to the basic concepts of nociception and pain. A first block of 7 lectures establishes the fundamentals of neurobiology of pain (concepts, peripheral mechanisms, spinal mechanisms, Transmission and pathways, Descending controls, Pharmacology of Pain, Higher Integration). A second block of 4 presentations addresses the current stakes and challenges in the domain of Pain (animal research, human resarch and clinic, ppharmaco-chemistery, psychosocial aspects)
