Etienne CLAUSS--CREUSOT Cohesion ambassador

Etienne CLAUSS--CREUSOT  Cohesion ambassador

English version

  • Your name: Etienne Clauss—Creusot (2 hyphens please, it is important)
  • Your position in Doctoneuro: Cohesion ambassador (a.k.a. the beer manager).
  • Your education:
After my baccalaureate, I started at the biology faculty in Strasbourg. I managed to escape myself in the cold Helsinki (No it is not in Sweden nor Norway… Yes, Finland!) for my 3rd year of university. This is maybe why I ended up in the neuroscience master of Strasbourg… I was too busy partying and travelling to think about Master’s application :D.

  • What you're currently doing:
Right now, listening to Santana while filling this presentation form. Otherwise, I am in M2 NCI, and I am doing my internship under Alexandre Charlet’s direction. I am working on the neuromodulation of the basolateral amygdala by the relaxin-3 peptide.

  • What brought you to do that:
I wanted to do research since I was a child (what a beautiful story I know). Then, my first neuro classes during the bachelor got me interested in this field. Although, I was interested in cognition and clinical science (I think the cold in Finland got my brain to freeze for some time), the master brought me back in the right path and this is the time I fell in love with the patch clamp and astrocytes.

  • What you'd like to do after that:
First celebrate the end of the master, then a PhD, and maybe one day being a true researcher. I am also interested in teaching, I guess I will give it a try during the PhD.

  • What brought you to invest yourself in Doctoneuro:
I wanted to try the association world, also, I enjoy organizing events and parties.

  • What are your projects/objectives for Doctoneuro:
Make the Doctoneuro socks a reality!

  • Final words?
Come to Doctoneuro, I need more minions… um colleagues!
